How Jesus Changed my life!

How I came to know Christ:
Hi, in case you haven't read my "about me" page, my name is Justin and I'm 16 years old. Ever since I can remember I went to church. But, one day when I was about 7 years old I had heard some things at church about being saved and going to heaven. I asked my parents about Heaven and Hell and how I could know for sure where I would go if I died. They told me how the Bible said in (Romans 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. So, I prayed right there on my bed and asked forgiveness for my sin and asked Jesus to live in my heart.

What's happened since.
Right after I got saved not too much happened, I didn't really grow in the Lord that much. I still went to church, but everything kind of stayed the same. Just before seventh grade I went to a Christian Camp and recommitted my life to Him and then the next year when I got into our church's youth group I started doing devotions and reading my Bible everyday. I started learning more about God, thus growing in Him as I tried to live like Him. Probably, the biggest thing that I struggle with is praying to Him as much as I should. I mean, God is there for me all the time and all I need to do to talk to him is basically talk. But, I still struggle although I have gotten better. I have found that doing daily devotions and praying all help my personal relationship with Him to grow. At the beginning of my 9th grade school year, I joined, or got accepted onto the Servant team at our church youth group. We have that split up into three parts: Hospitality, Drama, & A Praise and Worship team. I can say from experience there is no greater joy than serving the Lord. Last year most of us from Servant team went to Baltimore, Maryland to SEMP. Which stands for Students Equipped to Minister to their Peers. It was one of the best times of my life I learned so much about getting my life right with God and how to effectively witness and have group outreaches. This year we went for the second year course that they have and it was even better. We went out on the streets telling others about Christ and learned so much. On our Servant team I am on the drama team and we got to go out to another church and do some sketches, it was amazing how God was able to use the sketches with the speaker's message even when we hadn't told him what we were doing and he didn't tell us his message.

What does this mean to you?
Maybe you know Jesus as your savior but are just kind of sitting back and letting things go. I challenge you to get involved, and read your Bible and pray. There is nothing greater than serving Him and learning more about Him. And if you do not know Jesus as your saviour, God is willing to forgive no matter what you have done. I still sin, Iam not perfect but, God is willing to forgive and give us eternal life with him in Heaven. And the best part is you gain a personal relationship with him that has no comparison. In John 3:16 it says: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. and 3:17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. KJV. Jesus loves us and died for us. All we need to do is confess our sin and believe on Him and then we will be saved. If you have any questions about that please don't hesitate to email me.

One of my favorite verses is...
Isaiah 40:31 KJV
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew
their strenght they shall mount up with wings
like eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk
and not faint.
